This flowing yoga links various pose together in an effortless way. It is one of the most popular contemporary styles of yoga. In vinyasa yoga, each movement is synchronized to a breath.
The word “vinyasa” can be translated as “arranging something in a special way,” – since the sequence of postures flow together from one to the next. In vinyasa yoga classes, students coordinate movement with breath to flow from one pose to the next.
Due to the choreographed flow of the class, postures are not held for more than a few breaths, therefore more poses can be included in the sequence. The class is for students of an intermediate level, with some experience of yoga.
